Accessibility / Care in the details
Accessibility,
in the open.
This site targets WCAG 2.2 level AA on every page. Here is how it is built, what has been checked, and where more evaluation is needed.
Scope: Every page on this website. Target: WCAG 2.2 AA. The checks and remaining limits are documented below. This is not a conformance certification.
01 / Built into the pages
Checks and design approach
Keyboard access
Native links and disclosure controls, a skip link and visible focus styles. Local checks cover navigation and opening the main disclosures without JavaScript.
Readable structure
Headings, named links and landmarks are checked in the rendered HTML. A full screen-reader evaluation with assistive-technology users remains outstanding.
Text contrast
Automated checks cover the rendered text palette at mobile and desktop sizes.
Reduced motion
Animation and smooth scrolling switch off when your system asks for less motion.
Reflow
Pages reflow without sideways scrolling down to 320 pixels wide.
Readable without scripts
Every page is prerendered HTML, so it is fully readable with JavaScript disabled, and this site ships no JavaScript at all.
02 / What remains
Known limits
Some checks require real assistive technology, people using it, or review beyond this website.
- The Google Calendar booking page is hosted by Google. Aternex does not control its accessibility.
- External product sites have separate interfaces and are outside this website’s audit.
- The downloadable resume is a tagged PDF with extractable text; a full PDF accessibility audit remains outstanding. The HTML engineering profile offers another way to review qualifications.
- Automated checks and local browser testing do not establish full WCAG conformance. Manual screen-reader testing and review with disabled users remain necessary.
